Week 35 – Use paint

This weeks challenge is to use paint on your ATC.

Mum has painted these cute little flowers, afterwards she sprayed the whole ATC with a little glimmermist so it didn’t look so stark.

Week 35
Here is my ATC, I put a few spots of paint on a brayer and rolled it over my ATC to get this background. I then added a DRD photochip and under that I layered lace. I added the words “colour my world” which I got from a dictionary.

It’s time!

Here is Chelle and my Time Atcs.
I am loving Chelle’s little tortise, so so CUTE! It’s a different way to take the theme and I’m loving it! Great Job Chelle!

Here is my ATC, dictionary paper on cardstock and then ripped the edges of that up as it was drying. Stamped a few stamps from 7Gypsies and added the clock with some tissue paper underneath it.
Time

Never too late?

Finally I’ve done my ‘material’ ATC from a million weeks ago :) I’ve just used a little piece of lace, but it counts LOL!!!
I’ve stamped the background using 3 stamps from the Dark Room Door, Fasionable collection. I’ve hand drawn (copied) a skirt on to old dressmaking tissue paper. Added the lace down the side.. DONE :)

Week 34- Time

This weeks theme is time, sorry it’s late. (we ran out of time? LOL).

  Timeless
Here is mum’s ATC'. I love the background it’s just lovely. It’s collaged dictionary paper that has used the baking paper technique. She has added a clock that has been fussy cut and several old watch parts.
My last two cards will get made asap, I’ve been up in Brissy for the last week.
Can’t wait to see what you girls make!

A Hat Trick from Justine

Here are three lovely ATCs from Justine. Beautiful wings from week 30. Love the colours Justine. Then there is the gorgeous patchwork one for week 31, on which used stitching as her new technique. Love it Justine. What patience!
The third ATC is for week 32. Justine's least favorite colour is yellow.
I am led to believe that Justine is forcing herself to eat chocolate currently for her art, so she can use the wrappers for week 33. We look forward to it Justine, and applaud your sacrifice! :D

More Chocolate Lovers.

Here are 2 ATCs for this weeks theme.
The first is Chelle's who says her vice is Cadbury's chocolate..... I say any chocolate is a good vice LOL. Chelle is our Queen of Digi, and a great job she does too.
The next is from Margaret. She has some lovely antique images of Chocolate ads which she has nestled (pun intended LOL) on a bed of foil paper. This all sits on a chocolate coloured background..... mmmm, I can feel it coming on now!

Elizabeth is away this week, so she wont be posting before next week.
Won't you join us in our love of chocolate

Week 33 - The love of Chocolate!

This week's challenge is close to many of our hearts! It is an ATC to celebrate the love of Chocolate.
Here is my offering for your fat free enjoyment LOL.
I have used Kaiser's "Chocolate Drops" paper for the background, a scrap of print in the corner, a lushous chocolate image on top and one of my favorite sayings completes this ATC.

What an effort!

So pleased right now! Chelle has caught up with all her challenges. So proud of your effort Chelle! I’m not going to post them all here, but here’s a direct link to them. All with a write up on them too. I will pop a few of my fav’s here. http://aussiescrapaholic.blogspot.com/2010/08/atc-weekly-catch-up.html

Well done Chelle!! Great to have you back with us :o)

Marg's Week 32

This is what Marg had to say about her ATC, and what she did:

"Well that was certainly a challenge! I couldn't think of any colour I disliked. So I looked for some painting pieces that really didn't work and I don't know why I kept them.
Looked in them to see what I could see and came up with "The Nest" and the 3 red birds. It even ended up somewhat 3D. The background was from one piece and another multicoloured bit was punched into leaves and cut up. Thanks again for a good challenge"

Well done Marg, I like it!

I'm late!

This is my ATC for my least favorite colour. I like all colours really, but I use grays least of all, so guess that's my least favorite.
This ATC is done mainly in pale and charcoal gray, using my favorite animal stamp! Another stamp above the elephant, some gold strip, silver bling and handwriting in black pen is about all.

Week 32 – Use your most disliked colour!

This weeks challenge is to use your most disliked colour. It doesn’t have to be monocromatic, but it should be mostly that colour.

Purple
I thought this weeks challenge was going to be hard. I am not really a fan of the colour purple and when ever I use it it’s a bit OTT and blurgh lol. 2 weeks ago in the wings challenge I used it(made the same background in purple lol) and was actually happy with it, and I was also happy with my monochromatic swap (for the ATCS4U group), so maybe I’m on a roll with purple and maybe it should be raise a bar in my tastes ;)
I used a impressabilities and daubed on dusty concord distressing ink I also gave a quick spray with gold homemade glimmermist. I stamped on the phrase in black ink, added some flowers and some bling and then added the bird. The bird was cut out using my Caged bird die, it’s made out of a chipboard and painted with dusty concord crackle paint and also ?frayed burlap?. Once it was dry (and cracked up) I painted on a bit of the gold homemade glimmermist that I had sprayed on the card.

This weeks card by mum might be late as she’s been sick the last 2 days. She will make it as soon as possible.

Marg’s Technique

Here is Marg’s technique for this weeks challenge. She has used the technique of colouring paper with plant material. Here is what she had to say about this technique.

This technique works well on watercolour paper or (as in my ATC) Artists Oil Pastel Paper which we bought in tear out book form.  We used different leaves and flowers and coloured with them by simply rubbing onto the paper.  The purple colour is from a green leaf and the yellow from a flower from a cactus plant.

Week 31 New Technique
Great job Marg! I will have to try this soon!!
