Week 26 – Recycling time!

Wowo! Here we are at the 1/2 way mark. Hard to believe how fast this year is going. Our theme this week is recycling. You have to put some ‘trash’ on your ATC.. Clean trash of course lol. You can use just one element or you can make your whole card from recycled goods.

2626 back
Here is mum’s ATC, she has weaved strips of newspaper and although hard to see she has also glimmer misted them. Using the patterned cardboard from an old tissue box mum punched out the flowers with a flower punch. she also hand cut the butterfly from the same box. Well recycled mum!

week 26 recycle
Here is my ATC. I used some advertising material from Spotlight as my base, I went around that with white paint to make it ‘frosty’ on the cup cake at the bag I added some kindyglitz to the balls that were there. From a coffee box I cut out a ‘chunk’ that had people drinking coffee and folded it over for my ‘menu’ and then from the top of the coffee box I cut out the words “cafe” and “menu” to help hold down the folded menu.

This, being the 26th week, is the week the stamps are up on offer. Winner will be decided out of those who have done the most/26 challenges. So far we have Marg on target, and a couple following close behind. Can they catch up? hehe, stay tuned to find out ;)
Good luck with this challenge!

Week 25’s

Here is my week 25 challenge. I’d actually done mine on time, but had a hard time getting a photo… Put it on the side to do ‘later’ and forgot about it until last night lol.

week 25woman
I used a paint pen to block out some of the background and when that dried I wrote out key works about mum.

Week 25 A Woman in your life - My Inner Goddess

Week - 14

This week we are stamping up a storm! Use your favorite stamps to create an ATC, the theme the stamping takes is up to you, this leaves it open for those of you who wish to do an Easter theme.

Stamps 1

Elizabeth has used inchie stamps and a chipboard fleur-de-lys on a music stamped back. The inchies were stamped, embossed, then painted with Tim Holtz re-inkers and some Perfect Pearls. The fleur-de-lys was painted with a lovely shiny home-made paint, then stamped with black ink

 stamps2

My ATC this week  has distressed stamping of script, on top of which several images have been stamped, fussy-cut and glued in place. The edges of the ATC have been distressed with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Hope you will all have a happy and safe Easter break, don’t overdo those Easter Eggs!

This week’s winner is Justine! Drawn by our lovely “ barrel-girl” Michael LOL.

Week 11 - Green

This week it’s green for St Pats. You can make it Irish theme if you want, but all we’d like to see is lots and lots of green.
Mum has done a monochromatic green card. She has used a super shiny card stock that unfortunately didn’t photograph well. She has used bling and kindyglitz, ribbon and punchies.
De

Here is my card. I used home made glimmer sprays,  a green bingo card and a green sewing machines. I added a little green bling and also used the kindygiltz.

Here is Marla’s prize from Valentines day. Hope you enjoy it Marla.

Week 8- Your Favourite Technique/s

This week is all about the technique or techniques you love doing! Maybe you like alcohol inks, or watercolour pencils, stamping, or what about quilling? This is your week to shine, maybe you can describe what you have done, so the rest of us can have a go too.

De's Week 8De's Back Week 8

I couldn’t choose just one, so I did four! I did the baking paper technique (we use baking paper rather than the craft sheet) (watch video from 1.55), stamping, inking and paper tearing.

Liz's Week 8Liz's closeup

Elizabeth used grunging, inking and stamping, she also used a home made glimmer mist type spray.

This weeks winner, who is getting a little ‘love’ is Marla, Michael picked your name out.Elizabeth will organise some goodies when she get home from Brisbane.
Great job on all those love cards ladies, I promise no more romance themes for a LONG time!!!!

Week 5 – Where I live & WINNER

This week's theme is "Where I live". This could be the main area of your house where you spend the most time, an overview of your town, or the outlook from your from your front window. If you wish to list your suburb like I did feel free, though if I get any entries that list your street I will blur that part. I like us to be safe :o) No need to be specific. Interpret it as you will.

Week 5 De Week 5 back
De has chosen to keep this ATC fairly straight forward she has used a small photograph of the view from her front windows in spring, a view that makes her feel happy. She’s typed on some extra paper and added brads to it. I love that the photo is personalised with her in it.

homeThis is my ATC. As stated, my computer is in the shop.. It seems that all the DVD’s I burnt with my photos, only work with that computer.. Handy eh? lol.
Instead of having my actual house I made do with this cute little paper house. I’ve used some of the cool mesh ribbon, a string of pearl beads. Mini letters and the two embellishments that were from the same packet. I’ve also {homemade} glimmer misted  the blue cardstock. Fairly simple, but nice enough.. I can’t wait to see how you interpret this.

Winner
I am so proud, 9 of us have kept up.. Amazing! If you are anything like me you usually do 2-3 and then fall off LOL. Well girls, we’ve passed week 4 so we’re are doing awesome :o)
There are 6 people eligible for prizes (Leesa didn’t want to take away from you all :) )  I’ve left the order as it appears(alphabetical) on the side bar.
Chelle (4)  Loulou (4) Margaret (4) Marla (4) Sam (4) Tammy (4)
I headed over to Random.org and since there was a neat 6 people I rolled the dice and number 6 came out. (I was just going to post the die and this stupid thing crashed.. LOL) Congrats to Tammy! Your prize is a pack of Rubons, a pack of ribbon, 1 darkroom door film strip and a stamp. I hope you will enjoy playing with these items :)
